This article is written by a first generation Mexican American woman of color who discusses her experiences of microaggressions as a dance artist and how this has damaged her emotional health as a person of color. The artcile engages with conversations and collaboration with other dancers of color and colleagues to name some of their personal experiences in the dance world that reinforce systemic racism.
